The Board of Directors of Bellwood FCU is proud to announce that the merger with Henrico FCU was approved at a special membership meeting held on April 12, 2012.
For over 60 years, BFCU has been committed to providing members with the utmost in personal service and quality financial products. We will ask our members for their support as we work to bring even greater value and convenience through our merger with Henrico FCU.
Combining these two financially sound credit unions will result in a credit union with more than $180 million in assets, serving over 30,000 members with a potential of 1.2 million throughout 15 counties as well as the cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Hopewell and Richmond. It would take many years for Bellwood FCU to grow to this level and be able to provide the numerous branches, more competitive products and new technologies.
Unlike bank mergers that are designed to benefit their stockholders, sometimes at the expense of customers, this exciting partnership is for our members – to provide products and services unobtainable on our own.
