2010 marks the 59th anniversary of Bellwood Federal Credit Union. On August 13, 1951 nine charter members signed the Organization Certificate of Richmond Quartermaster Depot Federal Credit Union. Each subscribed to one $5.00 share, thus starting the credit union with $45. The credit union's charter was approved on August 22, 1951.
Today, your credit union has thousands of members with increasing assets and continues the vision of its charter members. Our growth can be attributed to the fact that your credit union is a not-for-profit, member-owned, financial cooperative, who serves only its members.
