Who Can Get An ATM Card?
Any BFCU member in good standing may apply for an ATM card. Your Application will be reviewed and card(s) sent to qualifying members. A joint owner on share, share draft and Christmas Club accounts may also apply for a card, provided the primary member has a card.
Your ATM card will allow you to do the following transactions at your credit union's ATM at DSCR:
Withdrawals from your share, share draft and Christmas Club accounts
Balance inquiries on above accounts
Transfers between above accounts
Loan payments
Transactions allowed at all other bank ATMs:
Withdrawals from share and share draft accounts
Balance inquiries on share and share draft accounts
There is No Annual Fee and transactions may be made at any BFCU owned ATM at no cost. No transaction fee on the first 4 transactions per month at all other bank ATMs; $1.00 fee on each transaction thereafter.
All ATM transaction are well identified on your monthly statement. These transactions are posted to your account immediately.
To operate the ATM you must have your ATM card and your Personal Identification Number (PIN). The card alone will not activate the machine. After your card application has been approved and processed, your card will be mailed to you. Several days after you receive your card, you will receive your PIN. For your protection, keep your PIN separate from your ATM card. If your card is lost or stolen, report it to BFCU at once. We will stop honoring transactions on that card and issue a new card to you.
VISA and Share Drafts in One Account:
You get all the benefits of your Share Draft Account and more. Simply present the VISA Check/ATM Card to any merchant that accepts VISA. The merchant will process it like any other VISA card. However, your bill will be paid from your Share Draft Account as if you had written a Share Draft. Enter the amount of the purchase in your Share Draft register. Your monthly statement will show the merchant's name, amount of purchase, and date.
You can use your VISA Check/ATM Card at the credit union's automated teller machine at the Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) and at other ATM locations on the PLUS, EXCHANGE, VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS AND DINERS CLUB networks. Also, look for the Credit Union 24-CU HERE and Member Access logos. All you need is your card and your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
If you do not qualify for a VISA Check /ATM Card, you can receive a Bellwood FCU ATM Card only.
